Something Fishy!

So it's time for the "Father activities" at pre-school. They are supposedly "FREE." The first one is a fishing trip. Fortunately, Abby and Linsay had noticed the flyer said you need a fishing licence. So John did that.

(Don't think this man has EVER been fishing in his life!) On Friday afternoon Abby notices the flyer says bring your fishing poles and bait. We have neither. You should have been at Wal Mart Friday night with "Super Grandpa." Fortunatly we found a fisherman sales associate who was very helpful.

After John picked out his Toy Story and Barbie fishing poles the guy asks him if he has a bobber. You should have seen his face! Hilarious! All he was thinking was cha ching $$$$$! Then he takes him to the refrigerator and hands him a container of worms!! Yes, John, who doesn't do yard work without gloves on standing there in Wal Mart holding a container of worms! I HAD to take a picture:

Who knew all this time we could have
been buying worms a Wal Mart?

On Saturday morning,
Dannon and Annie picked up John and Hudson. On the way to Stevens Pond in Clearfield, they picked up Annie's other grandpa, Bob.

About 1:00 I got a text from John that said,
"Going to fish farm in Ogden. Maybe we'll catch a few."
Not much luck at the first stop.

On the way to Ogden they called Dannon's brother,
Dustin, and asked if he wanted to meet them there.

Everybody was pretty impressed with Macy's catch.
Macy looks a bit startled! Hilarious!

When they got home, Annie and Hudson were on the computer. The whole room smelled of kids who had had a good time fishing!! PU! This is where they ended up.
Look at how dirty that bath water is!
What a great day!

How fun! Isn't dad the best? Have I mentioned I have purchased worms? Don't worry though, I got paid while do it. :)
